Wood You of Florence is family owned and operated by the original founders of the chain of stores known as Wood You Furniture. Wood You started in Jacksonville, Fl, in 1977, in a 10 x 10 metal shed behind Al and Barbara Johnston's mobile home.

Daniel and Tara, daughter and son-in-law of the Johnstons, currently manage this store. Tara has worked in Wood You stores since grade school and Daniel is now in his 14th year with Wood You. Needless to say, the knowledge of real wood furniture runs deep in this family.

Even though Wood You consumes a great deal of their time, Tara and Daniel each have other things they enjoy. If you are in the area then just drop in and talk real wood furniture or any other topic that might interest you. Tara is also quite a seamstress and loves making children's clothes and accessories. She's also the certified driver for the family taxi to T-ball, soccer and baseball. The Johnstons are avid Auburn fans but three of their four kids happened to go astray and married "rivals". One married a Florida Gator, one a Tennessee Volunteer and yes Tara married a Notre Dame fan. If you like to talk Irish football then come and see Daniel.
